Jesus, Son of God. He is an equal member of the Trinity; One with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus laid aside His position in Heaven in order to become fully human. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by submitting to death on a cross. He arose! He ascended to the throne of Heaven and will return for the church on an appointed day.

The Bible is God's Word to us, sixty-six books, one story. We believe these very human authors were under supernatural guidance by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

Salvation is God's free gift to us. We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. Salvation is given to those who accept and believe in Jesus Christ, understanding that His death on the cross was a voluntary gift of substitution extending the grace and forgiveness of God to those who call on His name. We believe that scripture teaches that man has free-will and must chose to follow Christ. We also believe that man can walk away from God if he chooses to do so.

We teach and practice baptism by immersion at Community. Jesus was baptized that way to fulfill all righteousness and asks us to follow him there. Baptism is a mysterious spiritual union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
* Matthew 3:1; Acts 2:38-39, 8:38-39, 9:18, 10:46-48, 16:1-15, 16:25-33, 19:1-5
We believe people were created to exist forever and in a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust. We believe that God has written eternity on the hearts of men. The age to come will be one of eternal separation from God for those who reject His son or eternal union with God through the acceptance of forgiveness and salvation Jesus extends. Hell is the place of isolation and eternal separation from God created to punish angels who rebelled in Heaven and also people who choose not to accept God on His terms- through Jesus. Heaven is a place of eternal oneness with God where we will experience wholeness, true joy, and understanding for the very fist time.

The Lord's Supper
We believe the Lord's Supper is a meal, a memorial, a symbol, and a proclamation of our union with Christ. Those who recognize Christ as the Savior of their life are instructed to remember Him in this way. Self-examination, confessing of sins, determination of continued commitment, and dealing with relational conflicts are important aspects of participation. The early Christians observed the Lord's Supper as often as they gathered together and specifically on Sundays to do this in celebration of the Lord's resurrection. As such, we too serve Communion each Sunday at Community Christian Church.

We believe giving generously to the work of God is a normal practice for every fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. It is a matter of your heart following your money and investing in the things God cares about. Having a heart of compassion for the poor, orphans, and widows is normal for believers. Giving is worship; an expression of surrender, love and devotion to God that cannot be mandated by anything other than the compelling love of Christ. Giving is an expression of God's ownership of believers and our stewardship of His generosity.
* Matthew 6:19-21; Acts 2:45; 2 Corinthians 8; 1-5; 9:6-8: Romans 12:1-2; John 3:16
We believe the church is the Body of Christ, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, the people purchased of God, the Bride of Christ. The church is built and established upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. God has called believers in various places to join together as local churches. These are visible expressions of worshiping communities demonstrating the power, the life, the character, and the authority of God in lives of His people. We believe Christ has entrusted his hope for the nations in the church as His body.

CCC's 5 G's
We believe that normal expressions of faith in Christ results in the participation of the "5 G's:" Grace, Groups, Growth, Gifts, Giving, within the context of a community of believers doing life and faith together.
